The year 2010-11 has been a busy and rewarding one for
AIT. By Gods Grace AITians have done well in all facets of
Institutional Activity.

Our Academic Results have been encouraging more than 75
percent are in First Class and our overall results are among
the best in the University. Our placement figures are the Best
for the third consecutive year. It is indeed heartening to see
a large number of our students being picked up by Microsoft,
Infosys, Cognizant, Deloitte, HSBC and
other top end Corporate Houses. In all 58 firms visited
our campus for hiring and 96.4 percent were
placed.

Our students continue to excel in co-curricular and
extracurricular activities also, winning 1st Prize
in Baja 2011 for low cost design and Inter College Level
Completions. Our young faculty members have also done us proud
by standing First in University of Pune, Post Graduate Exams
as also by being invited for Paper Presentations at
International Seminars abroad. After having obtained the ISO
9001:2008 Certification and NAAC, we are now obtaining
re-accreditation by the NBA this year.

Infrastructure up-gradation is one of our important
Focus Areas and work on the Technical up-gradation of all our
labs is nearly complete; work in our new Computer Hardware Lab
and RF Lab for E&TC Department is underway. Library is
another area where considerable improvement has been effected.
It is now well stocked and over 249 Journals are available 'On
Line'. In the recently approved New Library Building, PG
Center / Seminar hall is being constructed. Broad Band
connectivity of 10 Mbps is now available in all Departments
and in each room in the Hostels. Wi-Fi connectivity is
available to students in the Reading Room of Library, New
Study Halls in Boys Mess and in Girls Hostel. It must be
emphasized that AIT provides educational and recreational
facilities that are comparable to the best in the
country.

Our efforts have not been in vain. The all round
improvement is reflected by AIT now moving up in the National
Ranking of Engineering Institutes of Dataquest, to be in the
TOP FIFTY and at 22nd position amongst Private
Colleges as per Electronics For You. We intend to generate
greater interaction with the Industry in student projects and
in various workshops and seminars. Our AIT Alumni Association
is also very enthusiastic in the development of AIT as a
Centre of Excellence.

In the coming year we hope to further improve our
Academic performance, Placements as also our overall National
Ranking. 'Onward to
Glory'.
