| Dr Gosavi V.P.
(M.E, PhD Engineering) has taken over as Principal of A.I.T. w.e.f
13th Nov 2009.
Dr Gosavi has obtained Bachelors, Masters
Degree & PhD in Mechanical Engineering with Design
Engineering specialization from Govt College of Engineering Pune. He
has more than 43 years of practical experience to his credit, out of
which 20 years were in Industries/ R&D, and more than 23 years
in Teaching in renowned institutes like M.I.T and Sinhgad.
Since last 12 years he has been
working as Principal of Engineering Colleges. He is life
Member of a number of professional bodies like I.E.I, I.S.T.A.M,
I.S.C.M, I.S.T.E, I.S.C.A and I.A.D.Ph. He is a recognized Post
Graduate teacher of Pune University since 1996 for M.E and guide for
PhD. He has published three text Books and many
Research & Technical papers at National & International
Level. He has organised a number of conferences at the National
level and is a recipient of many Awards some of which are Best
Teacher, Pride of India, Best Citizen of India, Bharat Shiksha
Ratan, Jewel of India, Vijayashri, Life time achievement etc.

Under
his principalship AIT has got E&TC intake increased upto 120 and
Reaccreditation in B+ Grade with CGPA 2.81 on four point scale
(90-95/100) has been awarded by NAAC till Sep
03, 2015. ISO 9001:2008 was also obtained in Sept 2010. Post
graduation in Mechanical Engineering introduction in academic year
2012-13, Permanent Affiliation to Pune University &
Reaccreditation of NBA in all four branches is planned in academic
year 2011-12.
He has interaction with Industries, and has
successfully completed a C.S.I.R. R & D Project of three years
duration with funds of Rs. 3.3 lakh in the capacity of Principal
Investigator. Undertaking of more R&D projects and signing of
MOU with renowned Industries / R&D Organizations is also
planned.

AIT
was established in 1994 and within a short spam of 17 years
since inception; it has established itself as a prestigious
Engineering Institution under the University of Pune. Our
students have consistently achieved good performances and have
obtained the best placements. Three departments of AIT namely
Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication
Engineering, and Computer Engineering have obtained
accreditation from the National Board of Accreditation (NBA)
which is being renewed along with the I.T being accredited in
2011-12. This was possible due to the excellent co-ordination
among the staff and the full support of the Management /
Administration, the staff, students and their parents. The
excellent facilities of our college are in a continuous
process of up gradation so that our students can avail the
latest Equipment, Software etc., as per syllabi revision
requirement.
I
am sure our students will continue their stellar performance
during the course and career. I am also certain that they will
extend their full cooperation to their post graduate &
research studies and carve their career, in the Best Possible
manner. I am also sure about their accepting global challenges
& establishing permanent Bond with our College and
contribute towards AIT branding. |
