Prof RB Patil, Head of Mechanical Engineering Department, has taken over as officiating Principal of AIT wef 1st July 2007.
Prof RB Patil obtained his Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the
Walchand College of engineering,
Sangli and Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering with Design Engineering
as a specialisation from the Government College of Engineering, Pune. His industrial and teaching experience spans more than 21 years. He has authored six books for undergraduate students.
He is a life member of ISTE and QCFI. He is a member of 'Board of Studies in Mechanical Engineering of Pune University' and 'Faculty of Engineering of Pune University'.

It is indeed very heartening to see the progress our Institute has made since its inception. We began our journey in 1994 and today, we are considered among prestigious colleges affiliated to University of Pune. Our academic results and placement are excellent. In May 2007, three departments of AIT, namely, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering & Computer Engineering have been accreditated by National Board of Accreditation (NBA). All this has been possible because of the strong support of students, staff, management and parents. We are trying our best to provide outstanding facilities for imparting quality engineering education and also for the overall development of AITians. I am sure that after graduation many of our students would acquire post-graduate qualification and conduct innovative research. |
